Portage provides facility energy audits, identifying the best energy- and cost-saving solutions, managing and implementing energy-saving projects and programs, and managing utilities. Our personnel have extensive background in utility management, calculating utility rates, rate negotiations, resolution of utility contract disputes, and writing utility contracts. Through our Global Engineering, Integration, and Technical Assistance (GEITA) support task orders with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), Portage provides comprehensive program support to the Energy Management Program within the A7OS, Operations Support Group, and continually reviews and evaluates utility usage and monitors energy-related programs across the Major Commands. Since 2003, Portage onsite personnel have also provided resource efficiency support to the 3rd Civil Engineering Squadron and 611th Civil Engineering Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, and Portage is responsible for energy management of 20 sites stationed throughout Alaska.
